1. What is FLITELite? The military/industry term is lip light, mic (mike) or microphone light. Our packaging cover text - "Dual Intensity Pilots Light" should be expanded to:

FLITELite GEN II - The Dual Sensor, NVIS Compatible. FLITELite is the LED flashlight that snaps on to your headset microphone. Improved dual sensor controls and sealed system give the pilot ultimate control and reliability. Lighter, brighter, and fully controllable through a range of brightness. 60 minute auto-off, brightness setting memory recall, 30% smaller than the original FLITELite GEN I. GEN One
FLITELite is the LED flashlight that snaps on to your headset microphone. More than just a flashlight, it is a highly efficient lighting system with advanced microcomputer technology. Comprised of three main components; a three LED light unit with an infrared proximity switch controlled with the touch of your lip, a specific adapter for your aviation headset, and AAA battery pack good for 200 + hours of use. FLITELitetakes only seconds to install.

FLITELite Store Displays:

A great way to display the light is to mount a sample unit on a headset, place a piece of tape over the activation sensor, and the unit will cycle. This will attract customers to your FLITELite stock, and your headsets.

GEN II Features:

The rear sensor controls on/off function. The light will automatically shut off after 60 minutes to preserve battery life. The front sensor controls brightness. When the front sensor is touched, the unit goes to minimum brightness level, and slows increases brightness until the desired brightness level is reached. When the unit is turned on again, the last brightness setting is recalled. The unit uses LED's that can be filtered for a variety of colors, including NVIS compatible light. Pilots will never again have to take thier hands off of the flight controls to activate a light.

GEN One FEATURES:

Touch the unit once with your lip to turn on all three LED lights, touch it a second time and only one LED is lit at half the intensity, and three times to turn the unit off. FLITELite™ will turn itself off after one minute of use and shut itself off automatically in bright light. You never again have to take your hands off of the flight controls to activate your light.

Benefits:

No exotic batteries to buy. Our unit uses AAA batteries, which last for over 200 hours.

Microchip controlled - GEN II has a 60 minute auto-off, dual sensors, a full range of brightness, and brightness setting memory. GEN One has a 1 Minute auto-off, Auto-off in bright light.

GEN II uses either soft white LED's, NVIS Compatible light, Red, Blue or Green LED's.

GEN One uses soft white s that will not interfere with night vision. The full spectrum light and low reflection reduces the amount of light needed. Under red light, magenta symbols disappear on charts, and during electrical failures, red markings on instruments and gauges are unreadable. Blue and Green light makes blue chart marking and 100LL fuel leaks invisible. Since FLITELite&gen; uses a full spectrum soft white light, you do not experience these potentially dangerous side affects. More on NIGHT VISION.
